Military Style Paintball Guns and Sniper Paintball

Military style paintball guns, like the ones used in paintball sniper games, have come full circle and are now all the rage. For instance a sniper paintball rifle can be just the long range tool that puts your team in the winners circle.

As a paintball sniper, you are one of your teams specialists. You’re the one that is stalking your opponents, catching them unawares and blowing them off the face of the planet! Your paintball marker, the sniper, rifle is just the ticket for such stealth work.

The best terrain for using your military style paintball guns are wooded areas with plenty of under growth for sniper paintball. And it is really effective if the game is slower paced and can last for a good length of time.

If you are going to use long range tactics (perfect for the sniper) you’ll want to use a pump action sniper paintball rifle because of their accuracy and rapid fire action. These guns must be cleaned and kept well maintained in order to fire easily and smoothly.

My favorite paintball gun companies are Tippmann and Spyder. These companies offer nice good quality paintball guns in a wide variety of cost and quality. When you buy the best you are never disappointed.

Now we get to a very important factor for the sniper-camouflage.  While you probably get that you’ll need to be completely outfitted in camo, you may want to think about camouflaging your military style paintball guns as well.

Another important accessory you’ll quickly want to purchase is a good quality scope for long distance sniping. In that your cover may be blown after your first shot and reveal your position to your intended prey, it is important to make that first shot really count.

Other than your gun, the most important accessory is your googles. Many companies offer combination googles attached to a helmet. As a sniper is often lying on or close to the ground, these items afford you a good amount of safety as well.

If it were me (and it has been) I’d want to pick up some sturdy body armour of some sort. I don’t mean a full suit of armor, this isn’t Camelot. But it is a good idea tp pick up good quality body protection and knee and elbow pads.

Paintball is a fun and fast paced action sport. Learn to play the game safely, get a couple of good quality military paintball guns and get ready to run the gauntlet!

Cheap Paintball Guns

There are a number of different companies that offer cheap paintball guns for beginners.  Whether you are looking for guns like automatic or semi automatic, blow back or  hybrid blow back,  electronic, or pump paintball guns, prices will obviously vary. Expect to pay anywhere from twenty to one hundred and fifty bucks for a good cost effective, dependable, lightweight, and easy to maintain paintball gun.

Some factors that need to be taken into consideration when choosing good cheap paintball guns are performance, construction, action, air supply, and maintenance.  Often the price of the paintball gun is based solely in the type of pressure propulsion system used, such as compressed air for paintball guns. The less expensive models will generally use a carbon dioxide pressure system.

Used paintball guns are also a good option. For instance, my son will occasionally buy broken  guns on EBay, refurbish them and then turn around and sell them as custom paintball guns. EBay is an excellent place to pick up an inexpensive paintball gun.

If you decide against the used route and decide to buy new,  it is highly recommended that you shop the bigger companies like Tippmann, Spyder, and especially for beginners, Zephyr Paintball. The guns guns offered by these companies have a fairly good rate of fire, accuracy, and range.

While I prefer to mix and match my equipment myself, some people prefer the low start up cost of cheap paintball guns kits. These packages will almost always include the air tank, hopper, and mask.  Check out the look of some of these kits online.

Of course cheap paintball guns also have their disadvantages as well.  Since they normally use the above mentioned carbon dioxide systems, velocity fluctuations may be affecting shooting accuracy and range. This is why it is important to do your online research and check out the different reviews that paint ballers post online.

For instance, I found a review of the Kingman Spyder RT 09 online that said that for as low as fifty bucks you can get one of the best cheap paintball guns. The reviewer gave it a nine out of ten rating.

Since the days of the paintball games beginning, way back in the early 1980s, it has become one of the most popular contact team sports around. It doesn’t require a lot of training and just about anyone can enjoy its fast paced action. Get yourself some decent equipment and find a game this weekend!

Beginner’s Paintball Guns- Get The Truth Before You Buy

They say good things come in small packages and when we are talking about paintball guns, it’s no exception. And the reason is that to get started you need more than just the paintball gun (or paintball marker) itself. You are going to need some quality (yet affordable) paintball gear as well. For our purposes (and for the beginner), when I say the word “good” what I’m really hinting at is actually the word “cheap”. After all when you just start out you don’t want to have to spend an arm and a leg.

Before you decide to invest in expensive paintball guns and paintball gear, try one of the lesser expensive packages available online today. I mean, if you plan on playing only once or twice in a year, it doesn’t make much sense to spend big bucks on expensive stuff. That said, if you are looking to someday step up your game, a package is still a great place to begin.

So what you are looking for is a paintball gear package that comes with the paintball gun itself, mask, harness, view-loader, hopper, and CO2 tank. I would recommend finding one that comes with a mask as well. You can never be too care when playing a contact sport like paintball. Let’s take a look at some of the more comprehensive, yet affordable packages that you can buy over the internet.

For under a hundred bucks you can get the GTI Ruby Paintball Gun Package, available from Piranha. It comes with a Pure Energy 12oz CO2 Bottle,  XRay Premier Single Lense Goggles, a PMI 200 Round Hopper with Flip Lid, one ounce of Gold Cup paintball gun Oil, and 10 Poly Bottle O-Rings.

For just under two hundred dollars, check out the Spyder Pilot Ultra Pack. The Spyder Pilot comes complete with many innovative features all at an affordable price including the Leap™ Board by Tadao® Technologies, Aluminum Eye Covers, and the new magnetic response “Saber” trigger.

For the package, add to that:
Spyder Pilot Paintball Gun with EYE
9.6 volt rechargeable battery Battery charger
Barrel blocking device and a spare parts kit
200-round hopper
Paintball goggle with single pane lens
(1) 20 oz. CO2 tank
Colors: Red orBlack

And finally for under $350, there is the Tippmann A5 Paintball Marker Gun M4 RIS sniper set. As you might imagine this package includes most of what you find in the less expensive sets and more. So you see, it really is fairly easy to find beginner’s paintball guns for every price range.
